Looking for books?
CCCOnline doesn't have a book collection and isn't able to do Interlibrary Loan (ILL). However, you can get books through ILL from your home college library.
- First, go to your home college's website and go to the online library catalog and do a search on your topic to see if they have any books that look interesting. You should be able to put a hold on the books from the online catalog.
- If you didn't find any books of interest in your home college library, your next step is to search WorldCat.org (there's a link to WorlCat.org on the main Library Resources page too). WorldCat is a bibliographic database listing more than 245 million records for books, articles from serials and more. If you need to find a particular book, just plug in your search to WorldCat and it will give you all the information you need about the book as well as information on which libraries have copies of that book.
- You then can go to your home college's library or your local public library and request the book through interlibrary loan. WorldCat.org also offers some access to digital texts; the Internet tab is usually where you will find links to digital texts related your search terms.
